Systems-/Network Engineering

I define, set up and tune Infrastructure from the physical to the application layer. I look after the entire stack, from establishing a presence in a datacenter to setting up servers, storage, networks, connectivity, redundancy, security, backups, monitoring etc.

Configuration Management

I implement Infrastructure as Code, so that configurations can be consistently audited, repeated, tested, shared and promoted across the entire environment. This allows to do more and faster, without sacrifying security and reliability.

Cloud Computing

Cloud computing enables IT to react faster to the needs of the business, while driving greater operational efficiencies. In this space, I define cloud strategies, from architecting on-premisis PaaS/IaaS/CaaS solutions to using public cloud providers.

Automation, CI/CD

I automate ALL aspects of the IT Infrastructure, from provisioning hardware to zero downtime application deployments. I adopt CI/CD pipelines to facilitate better software that can be released more frequently, resulting in reduced cost, time and risk.

Monitoring

I firmly believe that if you can't measure something, you can't manage it. I develop systems designed for the real-time monitoring of millions of metrics collected from thousand of different sources.

Evangelising

I merge the gap between development and operations, guiding people through a DevOps vision, strategy and roadmap. I advise on architectual design, DevOps tools, processes and methodologies.

I am skilled at architectual design and implementation of highly available, scalable distributed systems, possessing a strong background in automation, performance tuning (ultra-/low latency, high-throughput), configuration management, monitoring and security. I add value to an organization by employing open source software, DevOps tools and processes, maximizing efficiency and agility. I heavily invest in technologies that will change tomorrow so that I can safely adopt them early gaining a competitive advantage.
